No Guilty Bystander Book Discussion

Our first Fall event! Join us for a discussion about the life, ministry, and impact of Bishop Thomas Gumbleton, recipient of DignityUSA’s Risk Taker/Justice Maker Award. We will be speaking with the authors of the recently released book No Guilty Bystander, Frank Fromherz and Suzanne Sattler, IHM, as well as with early Dignity leader Brian McNaught, who figures prominently in the book. This online event will be Tuesday, September 12 at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT. Register now and read the book, which is available from Orbis Press and other booksellers.

DignityUSA Bylaws Change Notice

Notices have been sent via email or mail to all members about two proposals from the Board to amend bylaws. Comments are due back to DignityUSA Secretary Sam Albano by September 22.

Membership Meeting Registration Now Open

Our annual membership meeting will be Saturday, November 18 at 2:00pm ET/11:00am PT, 9:00am HT. This meeting will be held via Zoom. This is an opportunity to hear from the DignityUSA Board about programmatic and fiscal accomplishments during Fiscal Year 2023.

Catholic Spirituality for LGBTQIA+ Folks with Q Christian Fellowship

DignityUSA has partnered with Q Christian Fellowship to create a 10-week Catholic spirituality course. Participants will discuss different forms of spirituality found within the Catholic tradition. Explore Catholic spiritual practices in a safe, LGBTQIA+-friendly environment! Sessions begin the week of September 11 and will take place on Saturdays at 7pm ET/4pm PT. There are only 25 spaces available for this session, so register now to reserve your spot!

Defenders USA will gather in Palm Springs in October

Join the Defenders in-person gathering on October 26 – 29 in Palm Springs, CA in conjunction with the Palm Springs Leather Pride Weekend.

Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert is the host group (https://www.pslod.org/) and tickets for the events can be purchased there.

Get your tickets now!  Prices go up September 1st.
